In 1967 I began studying violin in the classical style, and throughout high school I earned a stipend as a performer in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago During the same period I performed in the Lake Shore Symphony and the North Side Symphony of Chicago.  View my music resume in MSWord format.

1980 saw me venturing into a vast world full of other wonderful types of music, and I have since been performing blues, rock, American, folk, old-time, bluegrass, and various ethnic genres with musical groups around the Midwest U.S.

Over the last few years I had the pleasure of teaching beginning, intermediate and advanced students ages 5 to 75 with a wide range of interests in musical styles.  In 2005 I finally completed my first year toward a degree in music education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  Also in 2005 I received a music award and scholarship to attend Valparaiso University, but I chose to stay in Wisconsin and I will continue my education at U.W.-Madison.
