Mary Had a Little Lamb
Pick any one string and pluck with your right hand while placing your
fingers of the left hand in the sequences noted below.
Notice that the fingers are counted in groups of 4.
1) Say the first 8
fingers out loud, then play them without looking at the
page.
Memorize that group of notes, then play them
over and over again.
(20 times is not too many!)
2) Move on to the next
8 notes, and repeat the same process.
3) Try to play the
whole first line without looking at the page.
If you
make a mistake, practice ONLY that group of notes a few
times,
then start the line over.
4) When you have succeeded
at playing line 1 with no mistakes, do the same steps for
line 2.
5) Put the whole thing
together!
